Bern
I've been here one week so of course I had to get to Bern as fast as possible...It's such a beautiful city and has one of my favorite places to visit: the Barengraben. Bears people... cute ones. Here's a picture from last march. The cubs are a bit bigger now but still just as cuddly.

It may be a reference to 18th century satirist and author Jonathan Swift (of Gulliver's Travels fame) who wrote a famous essay called A Modest Proposal where he, in an attempt to be deliberately shocking and trigger British political reforms, said that the starving Irish should be encouraged to eat their babies.
